hating on those craptastic "a woman's world " ads

So, I have to admit that I've been watching Running in Heels, the new show on the style network about three dopey interns at Marie Claire magazine. It is fabulous because MC just hired Nina Garcia and I could watch her make faces at people's editorial ideas all the live long day. And the the editor in chief, Johanna Coles, is brilliant and human and fun to watch.

Who knew that it was pronounced Mhari-Claire?

BUT....even more annoying than the incredibly pathetic and sobby interns are the horrendous commercials for Woman's World snacks from Frito Lay that run for about 2 minutes in the middle of the show.

The snacks are all baked and shit, because, you know, we women are always on a diet.

Clearly written by tone deaf mouth breathing 50 something men who saw SATC and figured women have to travel in packs of four, the ads feature dumpy little cartoon girlies with bad hair, big lips and weird spoon shaped hands. Someone cries in every episode and they throw around words like Cankles and boo hoo about their Italian hair dressers.



Fab, fun and fearlessly female?

More like Fug, Fail and Fearsomely awFul!

And as a final note: I know that Dooce is trying to feed her family and all on her blog advertising, but jebus girl, have some standards.
